Our Story

R&P Farming is a diverse agricultural business based on the Devon Coast. We are a family run business which has been in operation since 1991, although farming has been in our family for generations. We are responsible for around 1,800 acres of arable cropping, 450 head of cattle and 1,000 sheep.

At R&P Farming we are committed to farming in a sustainable and environmentally sensitive way. We are focused on improving our soils and the wider environment in order to ensure that we pass on a thriving business to future generations.

Originally founded by Richard and Patricia Cotton, their two sons Matt and Rob have now joined the family business. Both Matt and Rob obtained Bsc (Hons) degrees from Harper Adams in Agriculture, and now live on the farm with their own families.
