SHEEP

R&P Farming operate the sheep enterprise in a joint venture with a local shepherd. This side of the business has seen rapid expansion over the last few years and the joint venture is now responsible for rearing over 600 breeding rams a year. We employ cutting edge techniques including embryo transplants and back fat scanning to ensure the highest quality of breeding ram is produced.

This is combined with a conventional lambing flock producing high quality lamb for local markets. The South Devon landscape is well suited to lamb production and these animals thrive in the smaller, steeper parts of the farm where arable production is more difficult.
